The depths of the sea are as mysterious a place as any. In the 1870 Jules Verne novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, Captain Nemo and his crew of explorers roamed the waters in search of the formidable sea monster that captured the imagination of readers everywhere Read More
You seems to miss the point. This has nothing to do with me, im already in for two sets.
Its just stupid to have the deadline just before people are getting paid. Increasing it a few days wont affect the time line.
jrjr220 days
that's a long time. If you can't find the disposable income in 20 days, I agree with @HappySkitty , poor ol OP might want to reconsider his priorities.
Massdrop is on a schedule, and this drop has probably exceeded their expectations already since they've already had to create additional drop points for it due to popularity.
@TragestyX has a personal problem, and that's not MD's problem. He can either A. find the money, or B. charge it to a credit card, if he can't do either- well "that's just the way the cookie crumbles I guess"
Hi Everyone,
The Massdrop x Zambumon GMK Nautilus Custom Keycap Sets have arrived at the warehouse and are now being prepared for shipment. We are on track to meet our estimated ship date of December 14.
We’re looking forward to everyone receiving the Nautilus Keycap Set!
Yeah I'm not really seeing any logic here either. A product suffers numerous production delays, FCC laws say that after x amount of time the buyer has to opt back in, it gets announced here, in an email to the buyer, and in various threads on reddit and geekhack, but somehow it's a predatory/shitty business practice? Um, no.
It sucks that this person missed out on their godspeed set, but the learning experience here is that people need to stay informed about the group buys they're participating in, rather than just treating them as a 'commit and forget' purchase like when they preorder a game.
Sadly, it's your narrow mindedness that a lot of individuals also suffer from.
I've never heard of a person complain about too many updates for something they purchased or a problem they're having. I worked as a student technician at my college for 2 years and our clients loved it when we "spammed" them with emails regarding their issues. It shows responsiveness and attention to your clients.
I also don't get this entire, "I purchased it already so why should I have to read emails about it" crap that you're spewing. Lolwut? When I see an email regarding a purchase I made, I open it right away to make sure everything is good. Even when from the subject I can tell it's just amazon's auto-update feature letting me know my order has been placed, or shipped, or delivered.
As everyone else stated, they were legally required to send you that email and you were required to respond to it to keep the purchase. Don't blame the companies from your negligence in something you purchased and then would rather have forgotten about instead of keeping up with it.
I get like 100+ emails between work and personal emails every single day and I make sure to at least skim the subject line and first few lines of the body to see if it's something important or not. 3+ a month on a specific product that you purchased is too much for you to handle?
I truly sympathize with your disposition.
Does English have to be your native tongue for you to bear simple understanding of argumentation techniques to the point of not needing to resort to the rock bottom, most basic and vulgar internet nomenclature just because you feel inferior? I'm not native either.
There's really no need to project, this is an internet forum, if you can't handle people disagreeing with you and get angry enough to call them neckbears to try and make yourself feel better why are you making statements that can be contested (as the PBT vs ABS debate always is)?
Keycap samples from GMK have arrived. Honestly they look fantastic, and extremely close to the color codes provided. I really like the both shades of blue, but they aren't close enough to what you would expect when opening your package in a couple months. Since GMK has sent the caps way before production starts, adjustments can be done easily and won't cause any delay at all.
So here's what we'll do:
- Alphas: The new color code will be slightly brighter and saturation will be higher.
- Modifiers: this color looks really close to what I had in mind, but some minor adjustments will be made. A slightly darker version will be requested in order to increase the contrast with the alphas
- N6 & TU2: I think both are a perfect match for the set.
