No UK keys which are typically included, id jump in if there was just an option to buy a modifier kit, functions row etc. dissapointing as I’d be all over this if just 4 uk keys were an option.
For GMK sets you can't split alphas, modifiers, non-standard... as their "scale" way better with just a main kit that covers everything you need. Splitting modifiers, or the function row isn't viable for any GMK set and this is why the core kit is the starting point that everyone should get and covers almost any board.
Regarding the UK ISO. I always try to keep the base kit around the same prices per tier and while many of the European costumers are English, many others are from Scandinavia, Germany, France, Italy, or even Spain and don't use the UK layout. This solution while not perfect, is a better middle ground for non-UK & Irish people. In addition to that, covering the layout provided by Windows when using an ISO board with US-International requires less keys, we don't need to make new legends (as this set has Hiragana sub legends) and it also allows me to have both a yellow and grey ISO Enter keys.
I understand, just for 4 small keys it does open up all the UK to the set. Have to say this is the set that appeals to me most that I’ve seen, but gutted but I’m too much of a perfectionist to have stuff missing on the board regarlesss if I look at the keys or not :(
I think the problem is that the Euro crowd seems to shout loud for the inclusion of there key's.. then when buy's happen.. there no where to be seen. Perhaps creators would be more open to including them and beefing up prices for everyone if euro crowd was contributing more to projects. This is not directed at you just the euro crowd in general. They did include the key's the euro crowd wanted and increased overall price. The Euro crowd would then complain about the cost of importing the key set from America. Which honestly kinda irks me because I mean having to pay taxes and things on imports is something people directly control thought there governments. Don't like high import taxes partition the government to fix it.
Agree, purchased each set that’s had UK layout available much to my wife’s frustration. 4 keys, full country.
The better solution overall is for some other external proxy to run a separate group buy for ISO modifiers that can ship within Europe. If there is enough interest, there shouldn't be a problem meeting MOQ on a separate group buy with less shipping and taxes.
The key set is made in Europe, that’s why Europe people get upset paying import tax.
GMK9009 came with the UK keys, but was sold in each region, unfortunately Serika is only available in USA.
