I’ve had this for a few years and never understood all the bad reviews for this product. I haven’t had any problems and there are no scratches or anything on my board.
I would like to see this board get actual QMK support, not just in Drop’s fork. Of course they’ve long since forgotten about this board.
Overall bad experience with this keyboard. The QA was frustrating to say the least. 1st board I got had a chip on one of the sides and I had to get it sent back. The second board came with pretty much the same defect.
I love this keyboard, it feels really rigid, heavy, and types well. There were just a couple of issues. When I got it one of the USB C ports were not working. I had to open the case and had to plug in the connector on the PCB. It also came with a couple of scratches out of the box. most of them were on the bottom which are not the biggest deal.
ZekeOGI've had this keyboard for about almost a year now. I swapped the switches once and the most of my keys are half broken. My q r u d h shift are working around like 60% of the time. Horrible customer service from drop. Wouldn't even supply a hex L wrench or even let me buy one from them. They wouldn't even bother caring for my pcb STRIPPING the legs from my drop HP.
DO NOT BUY A PRODUCT FROM DROP they will not fucking help you at all even if it cost them a dime.
The price of this is the lowest you will find for a case in this quality alone without even talking about the great SP keycap set it comes with, yes you need to take it apart to clip and lube the stabs but the end product is amazing, I used milkey gateron yellow and my typying experience is the best i felt.
Very nice out of the box aesthetically for $250 you practically get a solid built chassis and keycaps. Like many others have stated you do need to lube them up and can make many other alterations to make it a more pleasant experience but still a good keyboard
