From New York City-based Master & Dynamic, the MH40 headphones scream “premium audio” through and through. The design is elegant yet decidedly modern, and made using only the finest materials—from the forged aluminum body with stainless steel reinforcements, built for decades of use, to the heavy-grain cowhide and soft lambskin of the headband, ear cups, and ear pads. Inside, custom 45-millimeter neodymium drivers deliver a smooth, warm sound signature for easy listening in the office, the studio, or the comfort of your own home.
Note: At checkout, you’ll have your choice between Black Metal / Black Leather, Gunmetal / Black Alcantara (vegan), Gunmetal / Black Leather, and Silver Metal / Brown Leather. You’ll also have the option to add a MM800 boom mic in Black or Silver (+ $100). This drop is limited to members in the United States and Canada.
The MH40s are as beautiful as they are comfortable, and Master & Dynamic didn’t stop there. Equipped with a number of thoughtful features, these headphones make every listening session an absolute pleasure. The ear pads, made from memory foam wrapped in breathable lambskin, can swivel up to 120 degrees to lay flat on the table—plus, they’re removable for cleaning or replacement. There’s a nifty metal mute button on the chassis (simply press it to mute and again to unmute), and a pair of tangle-resistant woven cables that can plug into either ear cup. Both use oxygen-free copper to reduce noise and ensure the purest sound possible.

Engineered specifically for Master & Dynamic’s MH40, MH30, and MW60 headphones, the MM800 boom mic solves the challenge of communication in noisy environments where vocal precision is critical. The durable aluminum body houses a unidirectional microphone, and isolates your voice from surrounding noise for superior clarity on every call. It comes with a canvas storage case.
