This may look appealing but not sure why this isn't in something say...WATERPROOF?!?! I mean yeah this is great if you want your camera lens to be warm...because well that is the one thing people are worried about outdoors with rain, mud, and dust. Seriously this maybe the dumbest product I have seen on massdrop ever.

HSVJerryI really like mine, the liner is siliconized nylon, but just sewn and sealed seams instead of welded seams. Also the fold over top is probably varying amounts of waterproof based on what lens you have in it. I bought two, and I will buy at least two more if they drop again. I would say these are waterproof for any situation I want to be in with a camera. But I totally understand the manufacturer only advertising water resistant for a $40 product that might hold a $3k lens.

acedrewrespect. Something else you may want to try get a roll top cubenfiber bag from zpacks.com (8.25" wide x 11" tall (21 cm x 28 cm) for $19 w/o shipping and then put foam in there to fit your lens and for less than $40 you have the world MOST waterfproof fabric right now and the foam adds real protection to your 3k lens and you have REAL proctection from water and impact. Everyone does stuff there own way I just spend money on good gear so i want to protect it the best way possible.

HSVJerryIt's not intended to keep it warm. It's designed to keep it safe from bumps, scrapes, and from bouncing around in your bag. It eliminates the need for a camera bag to store your extra lenses. Throw it in your backpack or travel and and don't worry about it.

PackAttack12Yeah cuz you know, down. Best protectionmoney can buy. I hear they use it in car bumpers now. All my boxes from Amazon come stuffed with down to protect the valuable goods. This. Is. Stupid. Every single lens I've ever purchased has come with a little protective bag.

HSVJerryThanks for the heads up on those, I did buy two more of these, but I also picked up a few of these http://www.tamrac.com/collections/accessories/products/goblin-lens-pouch-0-7 for some smaller lenses, and I imagine the Goblin + Dry bag would be about ultimate.
