Is there any way we can still order the FreeRain24? This is a great deal, but it says you're out. I'd love to have the extra space and the waterproof compartment.

Hi Danny, were you able to secure another drop?

One part of the description says -$6 for the smaller pack, but another part says -$8. Which is it?
For the wet bag, since it's a drawstring closure if it turns upside down or to the side in a pack will the water from wet clothing be able to drip out?
Thanks

VoddyThe smaller pack is $6 less @Voddy. Thanks for asking about that, and it's been corrected on the drop page. The optional wet bag does have a drawstring closure, so it's technically not a dry bag as water could leak out under pressure.

I should add to my above comments that I have the 24-liter pack, not the 16-liter. The smaller one wasn't available when I bought mine, and if it had, I probably would have purchased that one instead--as it would be more inline with my intended use as an emergency overflow pack for the bike.

Do the side pockets fit 1l bottles well? Perhaps you could show a picture of the pack full with a 1l bottle in each side pocket?

Thanks. Those pictures are super helpful. It looks like 1l bottles easily fit in terms of diameter, but in terms of depth, the pockets are not very deep.

I am pleased to introduce Matador to our Ultralight Community. The two packable backpacks in this drop are pretty sweet, and I especially like the FreeRain 24 for it's complete waterproofness - tapes seams and roll top. Matador also makes lightweight weatherproof camera protection that may show up in the Photography Community.
