I would be interested in knowing what size is the popular choice. I ordered the 14.1 inch since I cook on an average size stove in an apartment. Just curious if anyone went for one of the larger pans.
This is my first paella pan but many of my relatives use cheaper 15in. I'm 1/2 Cuban so seen it made often. I am a bit of a slob so went for the 15.75 in. According to profschmid's link it's good for 6 people. I have a 15 in Viking sauté pan 7 layer that does the job too. You might be okay with the small 14 in if you are neat but then again you should be moving the pan and not stering.
Thanks for the response. I was glad to see this Drop, since I also joined the Drop for the Matfer pans. I ordered all three sizes of that. I will never need to cook for six people, and that played a large part in making my decision.
This is my first paella pan also, and I was born in Madrid! LOL
I got the 17.5 pan and it's lucky that my oven is full sized. It is BIG!
