Fully Balanced Design

From Matrix’s highly regarded M-Stage series, the HPA-3B is a Class A balanced headphone amplifier that supports both single-ended and differential outputs, maximizing your headphones’ performance. It has two XLR inputs for a balanced input, and in case you don’t have a balanced DAC, it comes with two XLR-to-RCA adapters for a standard unbalanced input. The 3B effectively doubles the power over HPA-3U, offering two stereo amps inside the unit for fully balanced operation. Three gain level options allow you to adjust for varying sensitivity and impedance. Designed to quickly dissipate heat, the brushed black metal enclosure houses an ALPS volume potentiometer, Noratel toroidal transformer, Wima and Nichicon capacitors, and sturdy switch quality throughout.
