Wow! I've just been stung by a £79 ($112) import charge for this drop into the UK! Meaning it would have almost been the same cost for me to buy the Pro version here in the UK. Not a happy easter bunny at all :(

CrisUKWow that does seem very steep. I always thought it would have been 22.5% import duty and tax. Need to think if this drop is really worth it now. Thanks for the heads up.

Yea, it works out to be around 40% import duty and VAT. I have serious issues with the shipping method used. I paid the money yesterday but they still have it in customs and they tell me with won't be here until Friday at the earliest. I think the use of DHL for international shipments needs a rethink.

CrisUKForgive me for asking but did you have to pay your import duty & tax to a company called Customs Clearance Limited (CCL) by any chance and if so was the transaction o.k.? Just been told by DHL I have to do this. Hope the Matrix Mini I DAC/Amp is proving good though

CrisUKHi, thanks for the update. Totally agree with you on the DHL front, not the most encouraging way to be treated especially by such a large company. Still waiting to hear from this Custom Clearance company as to what I have to pay so goodness knows how long this will take as they have had the item apparently since Wednesday. I am really sorry to hear the DAC was not as advertised and I do hope you do have some joy in the issue(s) being resolved. It's not boding well for my confidence in any further purchases I will admit.
