Dressy and minimal, the Maurice Lacroix Les Classiques Automatic Watch wouldn’t look out of place on James Bond’s wrist. Based on the manufacturer’s own ML115, an automatic movement of 26 jewels, it features a 38-hour power reserve. The back of the stainless steel case offers a peek at the decorated movement. Both the caseback and crystal are made from sapphire to resist scratches. The onion crown is cut with the Maurice Lacroix logo. As for the dial, it’s got subtle grooves upon close inspection and an outer chapter ring with Arabic numerals in intervals of 10. And while you wouldn’t take this timepiece on a dive, it still offers 30 meters of water resistance—so don’t worry if you happen to spill your martini on the case.
Note: This listing is for the LC6027-PS103-131 model.
Despite being relatively young in the world of watches, Maurice Lacroix has consistently pushed the envelope of watch design with innovative movements, retrograde displays, chronographs, and moon-phase indications. Based in the Swiss Canton of Jura and headquartered in Zurich, it’s steadily becoming an industry leader thanks to a consistent preservation of Swiss watchmaking tradition without getting stuck in the past.
