@Watchyoutalkingabout @MarPabl Unfortunately I need to use warranty... after some days watch stopped working. Like all of us, warranty card is empty. Has anyone have any useful/new information about it? At this point I send second email to support in switzerland on the www.mauricelacroix.com but still waiting for any reply. I live in Poland so not sure if I will be able to resolve the problem with Poland official ML service with blank card.

rzepa10Step 1 you’ve already done, which is reach out to ML directly. Step 2 - contact Massdrop to see what they say step 3 - while waiting on step 1 & 2, do a google search for watchmakers in your area of Poland. The Valjoux movement in the watch is actually pretty common, and it may end up being easier to fix locally. Finally, do one last check of the watch. Pull crown out to all positions, push back in, give a shake and a wind. It may have just run out of power reserve or maybe you have the crown pulled out.

rzepa10First off I'm really sorry you're having issues with your watch. This specific drop included warranty directly with Maurice LaCroix so the email you sent is the correct action. Also ask with Massdrop support how can they help you out, and if they can provide further details for you when you begin talking with Maurice LaCroix. I agree the movement in your watch is the ETA Valjoux 7751 so also begin searching who may be able to check and repair your watch locally. I really prefer fixing issues locally because I hate shipping the watch and waiting months for the repair, anyway make sure you get an estimate from Maurice LaCroix regarding the timing and the nearest repair center from you. In my case,I have a repair center directly from Swatch Group which are the manufacturers of the specific movement you have. They'll charge you for the fix, but if they're near you and your paying, I'm sure you'll get a faster service. Does the watch have any physical damage? Are the buttons and the crown working correctly? Is the rotor working? Do you see any other moving parts inside your watch? I have a Valjoux 7750 chronograph which may stop if I leave it in certain position. I can make it work again if I manually wind it a little and then vigorously shake the watch while rotating it (so it's continually changing is position) Try this and let us know. Please keep us posted regarding this.

MarPabl@Watchyoutalkingabout @MarPabl THANK YOU. I'm still shaking a little :) but for this moment watch started to working... It's not my first automatic movement so it's a little weird for me, but hope it was one and only accident for this watch and that It will never happen again so I will not be forced to think about seriously repairing :) Anyway Im going to talk to my local watchmaker what he thinks about this. What happened -I checked once again: crown - it was on the right "0" position, I manualy wind - nothing happend, I carefully watch movement - i didn't see any loose parts inside, I check that I can change hours and minutes, I checked that I can change day, and the last thing I press chronograph and shake a little with watch and it started to moving... One more thing. On the time he stopped working he was on my hand for around 10h so it should have enought power, chronopgraph was not is use. I realized about the problem around 3hours later when he stopped so maybe automatic winding is broken ? Time will tell. Now I 'm going to wear it again and observe without manual winding. Once again BIG thank You for Your time and help.

rzepa10Yes you may have the issue I've got with my chronograph ETA 7750 I haven't repaired it because after some days of usage, the issue won't present, but I may have it if I wear it again after some rotation with other watches. I really hope your watch won't stop again. Reading your description I don't think it was because not having enough power reserve. So keep using it and try hard to remember if you put the watch in a "weird" position. My chronograph may have this issue (not always) if the crown is facing upwards. Anyway if you have this problem again bring it to your watchmaker, just make sure he knows your movement ETA Valjoux 7751 Good 🍀

MarPabl@MarPabl @Watchyoutalkingabout Unfortunately  problem still exist. It look like automatic winding do not work ... Massdrop gave me info that I should contact with https://www.mauricelacroix.com/us_en/contact but they do not replay to my message... so after all it doesn't look good.

rzepa10Are you wearing the watch daily? Or did it stop after not being worn?

rzepa10You need to verify if it's indeed the rotor. Give it like 40 turns on a manual wind, wear the watch normally and check if the issue dissapears. That's the only way to be sure. Search for service centers in Poland, there are several: https://www.mauricelacroix.com/eu_en/store-locator Don't wait for the answer to your mail, just go there and have your watch checked. According to this page: https://www.mauricelacroix.com/eu_en/customer-service The cost for a complete service is about 465 CHF I hope you'll get this sorted out.

Watchyoutalkingabout@Watchyoutalkingabout Yes. Thats what I did from my last post 3d ago. There was around 20 turns? at the beggining and from that point I wear it daily, min 11h on hand. and today it stoped during the time when i was wearing. My usualy work day was always enough in all my previous watch :( I was trying to get to my local watchmaker but he was ill and his workshop was closed today, so still no luck for me and my ML :) @MarPabl For official service and warranty I was trying first to contact ML via official site to get confirmation that they aprove warranty so It would be easier for me to get help in Poland from their service ( becauose usualy in PL they are rather exact with checking warranty card etc) So for that moment and for 3 of my previous messages (first one was around 10.04 where I asked them for manual to this watch) they do not respond :/ One question in this watch automatic winding only work in one direction ? am i right ?

rzepa10Correct. It’s a unidirectional rotor so only one way. Does the watch work at all if you wind it and move it?

rzepa10Yes the Valjoux family only winds in one direction. You must do the 40 turns out even 60 to make sure the watch is fully charged then wear our normally. If the rotor is not working, the watch will stop around 40 hours later. If it stops before, there's other issue. When the watch stops it becomes alive again as soon as you wind it then shake it a little? How much will it take to stop again? Because of you only winds a little, the watch should stop soon.

MarPablI will do another test with precise start/stop record with exactly time on hand during day. How many hours on hand should be enought to keep 7751 alive ? I remembered that few years ago I had a Certina with 7750 and I did not have such problems that would make it necessary to perform such tests.

rzepa10Normal usage should be enough for the watch to work normally. If you're thinking that the rotoris the issue, you must first make sure the watch works normally by manually winding it, 40 to 60 turns to the crown will do it. Once you do so, the watch should work just 40 hours assuming the rotor isn't charging the watch. If the watch is serious before 40 hours then you may have other issue, not the rotor.

MarPablI was testing it durring that time :) So now how it looks: 27.04-30.04 60 turns for the crown and watch stay at home without moving, ML stoped after 53h 42min
30.04-05.05 Like previously 60x turn for crown but this time I was wearing watch on hand and it stopped on Sunday after arround 126h. Durring that time I was wearing it for arround 40-45h, (arround 10h was in last two days) I'm not sure if this is the correct behavior for this mechanism but in general I have the feeling that while I'm wearing ML the spring balance is negative and I should have turns the crown to keep watch alive. Comparing to my other watch its diffrent ,but maybe because their ballance whel turns on left and right? (I will look at this later) One more question for someone who have this watch or with similar mechanism. When the tension reserve is completely exhausted, neither winding the spring by rotating the ballance wheel nor by winding the crown will cause the watch to "start", only after pressing the start/stop button watch will start after a nap :) Can anyone check this at own watch ??

rzepa10I have mine on a watch winder because I'm too lazy to adjust all the indicators. However, my other Valjoux 7750 don't need to use the chrono start button to begin working... Neither I needed to use that chrono start button when I received the watch and started using it. Another test you may do is to gently swing the watch, so the crown is moving from left to right, for about 5 minutes. Every full swing (left to right) should have a one second duration. That should also fully charge the power reserve and you may check for how long the watch will work. Have you made contact with Maurice Lacroix or some service center near you? Anyway, by reading your comments, it seems that you're normally wearing the watch and it's not stopping anymore, so maybe your initial issue is being slowly solving out by itself.
