If you have a deep appreciation for watch movements, the Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece is right up your alley. Technically, the watch doesn’t really have a dial, but more of a canvas to display different elements of time at once Read More
$5K is quite steep for watches from company on the way out. ML company has been struggling for years and was put for sale in 2015. Four years later - no buyers!
So, be careful when buying their watches, as future support / service is a huge unknown!

rumata13Back in 2015 the Swiss franc was surging, which put a dent in profits especially in Asia which is where DKSH (the company that purchased a majority share) was looking to focus. Had almost nothing to do with watches, it was all about the current economic markets and currency fluctuations.
When it comes to non-conglomerate owned independent Swiss matchmakers that produce in house movements and are affordable, they really are one of the few left.
I remember when this used to be the "Watch Area."
Then, one day, I logged on and discovered someone had changed it to the "Whining and Crying, Pissing and Moaning, Nagging and Complaining Department."
How did that happen?
No, I don't often imagine nonsense hyperbole. Do you post so much here mainly so that you can sit back and say to yourself, "geez, I sure was smart on the internet today wasn't I"?
Maybe try Reddit, at least there yelling smugly into the void is normal.

If mass drop started to sell luxury watches, I wish we see more Omega, Breguet, Patek or even AP here...
Not only that, in one occasion I even remember seeing at Drop the most basic model from Lange and Sohne at around 20k$.
So, regarding exclusivity let me add that many people (me among them) consider L & S even more exclusive (at almost half the price) than the typically overpriced Pateke Philippe. This is the top of the chain food, folks!!
Come to (mass)Drop to save money over retail prices.
While these may be cheap for the brand in question.
I can't rationalize such an obsolete gadget which only serves to burnish ones vanity.
I'd rather get a Bertucci, Armourlite or Seiko and plow the rest into camera lenses, clothing or another musical instrument. Lately I've been enamored of Japanese guitars. They are an amazing value even with the outrageous shipping cost.
If I was going to spend on a timepiece I'd get the Junghans Max Bill. Those are stylish as hell.
ps. these are pretty busy looking.
