Now that these two (self moderated) are through.....
I found one of these at a tag sale years ago and bought it for $5. Stayed in the back of a cabinet and then finally got used last month, works wonders for melting sugar. The copper handle is traditional, any handle they put on would be too hot to hold without protection, anyone serious about dessert should have one.
