So.. got it and this isn't what I ordered. This was advertised as a cast iron handle and it's a stainless steel handle, big difference. I have nine other pieces with cast iron handles and this one is very different. Was there a mistake on the vendor's side? Or was the advertisement misleading? Did anyone else get their order yet? Not sure what to do.

snugglepig5000The M250C is cast stainless steel which has been electroplated with iron. From what i understand it's sort of a compromise between true cast iron and the rust/corrosion resistance of stainless.
https://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/mauviel-m250c-copper-10-piece-cookware-set/ Here is the set which includes the 10" pan and as you can see, the whole M250C set is cast stainless handles with electroplated iron.

Also, you SAY big difference between cast iron and stainless handles, but in actuality while there certainly IS a difference, I would argue for most uses of the pan, it's hardly going to matter, what you're really after in a pan this size is the copper thickness and a decent lining, which this pan has both. And honestly at the price you got this pan for, if you're that upset you can sell it for $175-200 and put that money towards one with true cast iron if you REALLY think it's necessary. And to be honest with you, there isn't too much difference between the real cast iron handles and the cast stainless with electroplated iron. I have both, both are great.

snugglepig5000I too, just recieved my order today and was dismayed that it was not what I ordered as well. I had ordered under the impression that I was getting the 2.5mm copper with the cast iron handle and when I opened up the box saw that it was not cast iron as advertised and shown in the pictures but had the stainless steel electroplated handle. I feel like this is a bait and switch. I had previosly ordered the 8 inch with cast iron handle and that was exactly what i ordered and wanted. This is very disappointing. I will be contacting support to see what may be done on this.

KabooseWhile your link is valid and Mauviel does indeed make a set withe electroplated stainless steel, they also make (or maybe made now) the same sets/pieces with cast iron. Most prefer the cast iron as it helps to counterbalance the heavier pan and is not as slick as the stainless steel and offers better grip. Plus others simply like/want the cast iron handle for is rustic appeal.
While I agree that the thickness and lining are key to a great pan, the drop clearly stated cast iron handle and that is what most of us thought we would be getting when we jioned trhe drop.
