I'd like to see an email circulated predominantly displaying this yoyo one more time before the drop fails. There's one day left, I'm committed to one for my son (for Christmas) along with 7 others, and I'd like to see this drop succeed. As he's only 9 and this would be his first good yoyo, I'd rather not have to buy a really expensive one.

I have heard a lot of good & bad things about the maverick so I want to provide some context:
The maverick has a bit of an O-shape with high walls. This means the yoyo will feel nice to hold and throw but the high walls will hit the string often if you throw a crooked sleeper. This can help your precision, but may be frustrating at first. Overall I heard this yoyo is a good beginner/intermediate throw and for the lowest price at ~$30 (including S&H) you will get a $10+ KonKave bearing and get the yoyo with a responsive bearing at ~$20. I think this is an OK deal considering a similar start pack for the DV888 from YYExpert runs $35 and other "beginner" packs in this price range are mostly plastic yoyos, such as the Sage or Velocity. If you like the look and are transitioning to unresponsive play, it's a pretty good pick IMHO.

I got this in the April drop, and I just recently put the Dif-E-Yo bearing into it - this makes it a much less responsive yoyo than the type-C bearing it came with. Between this and the YoyoJam Firestorm I got in May, I'm learning a lot of unresponsive tricks. It'll take me a while to get back up to speed from where I was with my Henry's Viper, but this is a blast!

Great news group! The vendor has let us know that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 8/24. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.

As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them directly to you! The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 8/25.
