Why isn't this cheaper here? http://www.yoyoplay.com/yomega-maverick-yo-yo/ has it for $25.99 and has coupons.

dhorksThe one you linked is just the base model, this drop is a kit that includes an upgraded bearing.
With the stock bearing, it's a "responsive" or normal feeling yoyo - pull the string up a bit with your hand, and it returns to you. When you're ready to graduate, you replace it with the included unresposive bearing, and the yoyo will no longer return to you without doing a "bind" (see video links in the comments above). This allows you to do more tricks and longer combos, but cuts out some of the simpler "looping" tricks that require the yoyo to automatically return.

dhorksThis is a great price here considering the added value of the unresponsive kit. The Dif-E-Yo Konkave bearing is $14 elsewhere.

aqua_scummmThanks for the clarification. I've got plenty of unresponsive throws, I didn't realize the base model was responsive.
