trevor266I guess I don't see your point. Even if these were blank or printed/etched legends I suspect this price wouldn't be too far off. A full set of blank DSA from SP goes for 72 and SA usually costs more. I guess it doesn't matter, since this is all hypothetical. I just can't relate to people who come here to complain about items they don't want to buy.
A_Penguin....if you don't ever voice your concerns about products you feel are overpriced, sellers never have incentive to try to drop their price point because why would they? How do you not understand the basic relationship between buyer and seller...?
A_PenguinTo be completely fair, @trevor266 makes a very good point. If it wasn't for the complaining, the second HD 6XX drop may not have been changed from 250 to 200. The complaining also brought the recent Massdrop x Focal drop from 800 to 700. The JBL speakers were often criticized for having been the same price as an normal pair of original LSR305's so Massdrop worked with JBL to bring it down by 100 for the holidays, which is lasting much longer than I thought it would lol. That drop in price has increased sales for the drop from ~500/600 to about 1300/1400 now.
And that's just a few that I've been around for/have seen. I agree it's one thing for a person who has never been interested in the MK community to come in and be like "lol wut idiot pays this much for a typing board hurr durr" but if you're a part of the community, good price points are beneficial for the seller and the buyer.
trevor266Well even if you do voice, boycott, or even get a group of people to join you, it wouldn‘t make the MFG change their mind and completely change their ways of business to cater to your demands. The market for SA keycaps is very small and niche. There are no incentives for SP or Maxkey to produce millions of this color set and expect to profit from their production. There are no high demands in millions for these companies to produce an amount that offset the cost of making them. Group Buy has been the method to do. If the community is interested in a color set and willing to pay for the amount, then there is that demand for it to be produced.
