Is this a good parting with Sennheiser HD598? My headphones right now are plugged right in to the on board sound card. I am ready to make some improvements to the overall sound quality.

epicalThe Objective series is designed around the idea that you shouldn't need to consider whether your equipment and headphones will "pair well"; they're meant to work well with and drive any headphones that aren't electrostatic and deliver audible transparency. This is what I read, and I haven't verified the claims myself, but reviews seem favorable and the design was supposedly guided by objective measurements rather than technical specifications or subjective bias.
