So far, portable devices on the market have lacked a strong amp, or otherwise limited output power of the amplifier within the device, usually due to power and battery saving features. Following the success of the Objective 2, Mayflower Electronics have designed the CMOY, a portable amp designed to be universally compatible with mobile devices.
Construction
Built with an internal two-stage gain switch, the CMOY offers a suitable pairing for driving a wide range of headphones. Utilizing the well-respected 4556 OP-amp found in the Objective 2, now you can have desktop-sized performance small enough to fit into a pocket.
Portable Amplifier
Enclosed in a lightweight aluminum case and armed with a 9V 280mAh battery that provides 8 to 10 hrs of usage on a single charge, the Mayflower CMOY has been thoughtfully designed to cater to the audio enthusiast. The power supply works with 100V-240V sources, so feel free to take it with you in your travels around the world.
