Mazzuoli Officina Mini Fountain Pen

Inspired by memories of his grandfather, Italian designer Giuliano Mazzuoli set about crafting the Officina line of pens and pencils. The result: three variations on a machined writing instrument, each with an aesthetic that recalls the mechanical workshop for which the line is named. The highly textured barrels are the hallmark of the Officina Mini line, offering both excellent grip and an industrial—even clinical—look.

Only slightly shorter than full-size fountain pens, the Mini series is an off-shoot of Mazzuoli’s larger Officina line. Made in Florence, each pen is crafted from a single piece of aluminum and finished with brushed chrome. The end of the barrel features a threaded section, which allows the screw cap to be posted. Outside the cap is a pocket clip, while the inside features soft plastic threading that facilitates noticeably smooth rotation. The pens are appointed with stainless steel medium nibs and accept standard international cartridges.
