Japanese Craftsmanship in 10 Styles

Crafted in Seki City—Japan’s cutlery capital—the Mcusta MC-1 Basic Series combines the functionality of an all-around blade with the aesthetics of a gentleman’s folder. Slim and unobtrusive, the knife weighs just 3.4 ounces, yet it measures nearly 8 inches long to tackle more strenuous tasks. The 3.4-inch blade is made from your choice of VG-10 or 33-layered nickel Damascus with a VG-10 core. Press on one of the thumbstuds to rotate it open. It locks in place with the liner lock. The handle, available in five different materials (from sleek black micarta to handsome Indian Rosewood), features undulating grooves for grip. When held at different angles it glistens in the light. The satin clip plays nicely off of the handle, providing deep tip-down carry on the right side.

Note: At checkout, you select one of ten combinations with handle material of African Ebony wood, black micarta, Dupont Corian (+$5), Indian rosewood, or Quince burl wood (+ $35). You can also select a blade steel from VG-10 or Damascus with VG-10 core (+ $15). Quantities of each are limited. See the specs and checkout options for more details. Due to the sensitive nature of shipping knives internationally, we are able to ship only some of the knives on Massdrop to select countries. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know and comply with all importation regulations and local laws. Click here for additional information.
