I'm surprised that people aren't complaining about the etching of then Mcusta on the blade, it ruins the looks of the blade. Too bad because I would have purchased this knife if not for that etched name on the blade.

MotorradI'm serious, I know a lot of knifes do this but on this knife it just pops. It should be much lighter and not so obvious. Especially on the Damascus version.
Nice to see country of origin indicated for once! I'm jut going to assume that all knives with no country of origin mentioned are made in sweatshop in China. Like the Corian model, but curious if it handles well, or will I be chopping off my fingers.
that looks kind of pearlescent? Or is that just the lighting. Edit: turns out the Damascus isn't available with the Corian scales. foiled again.

CalaverasgrandeJust the lighting. Keep looking! With a coupon you should be able to find Corian with the “Damascus” blade for about what it would be on this drop (if it were offered).

What’s too bad is that the deeper scales are a better design than on the version of this knife with the clip, where they are thinner and the torx screws protrude above them in a random way. Deep scales plus clip would be an interesting knife. Unfortunately, in the clip version, the clip is integrated with the liner, so you can’t swap out.

sabrageI have a Mcusta Zanmai chefs knife (240mm gyutou with traditional hex handle), It is by far the best knife I've ever used. The quality of the steel is excellent the edge is extremely fine and strong and very easy to maintain. I'm pretty certain these pocket knives are made a bit simpler and cheaper, but the quality is still there and for the money is a great bargain.

I know I’m in the minority here, but I’m glad it comes without the pocket clip. I remove them from any knife I carry because I live in a city where I don’t want to advertise my carry, hate the feel when I grip the knife, and find it easier to slip out of my front pocket (jeans or khakis) without it.

mcloseMcusta's knives are the only brand of folders where I actually prefer no pocket clip. These are not EDC knives by any measure. They are for holding in your hands, rubbing and touching and feeling and... excuse me, I need some alone time with my knife, please.

who actually thinks that carrying a knife around in a pouch is 'convenient carry'? Looks like a nice knife, if it had a clip.

As others have said, Drop should be selling the version of this knife with a pocket clip. No one carries folders in cases anymore, this is the 21st century for gosh sakes.

I have wanted one of these for a long time but there is nothing special about this price. Its a discount compared to full retail but you can buy these for the same price on ebay all day long.
