sabrage“manufactured custom”—good knives! I’ve got to say the larger Tactility series or the smaller gentlemen’s folders are both probably more practical than this model (both the version with the clip and without; I have the former). This occupies a weird middle ground, not extremely practical as an EDC, but still very nice. If I had to purchase again, I’d go for the smaller, handy MC-7 series or the bigger, more robust and task-oriented MC-12 (Tactility) series.

sabrageHere is the "heck" of a Mcusta: Laser cut and CNC machined, then hand assembled and finished, and individually inspected. It's the next best thing to a knifemaker handcrafting each individual knife. Compare that to the usual die-stamping en masse. It's just not close. Mcusta is about as handcrafted as you can get for the price. This level of manufacturing usually values knives in the > $300 price range. It's a great knife for the price.

sabrageI have a Mcusta Zanmai chefs knife (240mm gyutou with traditional hex handle), It is by far the best knife I've ever used. The quality of the steel is excellent the edge is extremely fine and strong and very easy to maintain. I'm pretty certain these pocket knives are made a bit simpler and cheaper, but the quality is still there and for the money is a great bargain.
