This thing is sharp. Sharper than my Kershaw Skyline.
However, I'm disappointed with with Quality. The blade itself has a lot of machine lines/marks and discoloration. Part of it is light grey and part is dark grey.
And if we're getting picky, the color grooves are noticeably longer/wider on one side and quite a bit smaller on the other.
I kind of thought with Mcusta I would be getting a top notch product but my $30 Kershaw blade was in much better condition new and it didn't have any defects and inconsistencies like the Mcusta.

JamesXSame problem here, I expected the blade to be shiny and not have a greasy residue left on it/machine marks. At first I thought the grooves were the same size, but now that you point it out, you are right. Also my grooves have a black line going right down the middle. If you dont look at those issues it is a great knife.

JamesXI had the same issues you described. I additionally noticed that the scales on the one I received are not flush with the internal liner lock at the butt of the knife - you can see visible light between the sales and liner on one side of the knife. I noticed there are no clear photos of it on their prior sale advertisements, so I'm guessing it's a problem they don't want noticed, or I perhaps had the worst of the batch. Not the quality I'd expect and it will be the last one I get from this manufacturer.

BlankmanThese show the discoloration, machine marks, vertical lines, scratches, etc (That is not a shadow, the blade has 2 shades of grey). It's like they don't even care about what they make.

JamesXI also have the blade discoloration and scratches. The scratches are particularly visible under bright sunlight. They appear to be from not spending enough time and care on the initial grinding process. It's like they went from a very coarse grit to one that was too fine AND were not careful during assembly. The handle groves on mine appear to be the same size, but do have machining marks and a black line down the middle. The blade opening mechanism is also stiff, but I expect this to break in.
Other than that, the blade is sharp, has no play, and centers well. The liner lock appears solid. The handle is comfortable and the overall package is very light.
I intend to use my knife, so these issues are less of a concern for me. However, I wouldn't be happy if I bought this as a display piece. Of course, $100 doesn't really seem to buy display pieces anymore!

moneymikeThe two color edge is a result of heat treating for hardness to hold an edge the grinding marks are common, some manufacturers polish them off. I prefer this style as if I scratch the side of the blade I can restore it's appearance easily.

moneymikeThat "black line" on your knife is a convex handle mainly to assure a no slip grip it's a beautiful knife but go for the cold steel tanto that thing can bend (without breaking) at basically a 90 degree angle plus I've seen one them support a car hanging in the air by two chains on the handle (handle rivet came loose 1 piece out of whole blade and the handle was the only thing that broke) this knife while looking nice is a folder styled combat knife that's not really for combat but with the blade designed the way it is it makes sense it could have been designed to tear and rip at flesh that being said its a folder.... Get one trusted folder to last years and then get fixed blade knives for all of your outdoors needs because folding knives for the most part are a survival tool. Fixed blades are all in their own classification. (You really want a mechanism to break in the blade lock and fuck up your hand?)
