Whale would need a hell of a lot more support than that to even breathe out of water, let alone be lumbered about without tearing apart internally.
(Because _that's_ my only problem with this. It's, like, perfectly scientifically coherent otherwise. :p )

AnonymouseAgree about support, but whales (and dolphins) are air breathers.
This one reminds me superficially of the dolphins in David Brin's Uplift series.

theimmcWithout the support of buoyancy, their lungs don't operate well, and they struggle to breathe. When not floating in a supporting fluid, their diaphragms have to move a LOT of extra weight that was previously being "carried" for free by the water, plus their whole chest cavity sags under gravity, reducing the maximum volume the lungs can be inflated, so they now get much smaller lungfuls that they have to work much, much harder for each of. The bigger the whale, the more trouble they'll have in this manner. The heart is placed under similar strain just moving blood around the body, also. Weight squishes down on circulatory vessels and interferes with heart muscle operation.
And I did say _breathe_. Fish don't breathe, because you need lungs to perform that particular verb.

AnonymouseThanks for the clarification and education. (no sarcasm, I meant that). Breathing, however, is not restricted to lungs only. Check Wikipedia or OED.

Anonymousethey may work harder for the air but since they no longer need to swim there is a huge surplus of energy and that's why they can breathe and use telepathy. watch the videos and learn a thing or two.

Anonymousewell psychic pokemon can float so i really don't know why these psychic whales couldn't use their powers to counteract gravity such that their organs function normally... it honestly doesn't sound like you've done any serious research into this.
