How does adding a 7" coil impact cord length? For example, if I purchase a 5' cord and add a coil, is some of the 5' coiled, thus reducing overall length? - or does the length laid flat become 5'7", meaning with coil unwound, would be even longer.

FredMREverything that impacts the length is factored into the advertised length. If a 5ft cable with a 7" coil is ordered you will receive a 5ft cable. If you unwind it the length will be 9-10ft.

This time shipping to Germany is even more expensive than last time this drop was live. Are you insane, charging 21,50$ for shipping for a cable? I got bigger and heavier drops for lower rates from you.

Ok - Now I’m confused. Some say the diameter of the spiral and you say the thickness of the cable. Or is it both? The mechcables site seems to only reference the coil size as the difference.

jeffreycurtisI can guarantee it is in reference to the diameter of the cable itself as I have purchased a jumbo Laserwave cable and it was almost 2x thicker than a normal cable. As for the coil I would assume that since the cable is thicker that they would have to make the coil thicker.
