Got a defective cable with clear damage marks on the cable. Told Drop, and Damian from drop said they had no inventory to exchange it for me and gave me $10 drop credit. Turns out they do have extra inventory and selling them right now.
okay i havent got a coild cable for my keeboard yet but isnt it weirt that the ends of the coiled cable part point in the same direction? Shoudnt they go into opposite sides so that you can rout the cable to you pc or monitor etc.? This might be the reason i dont buy this cable as it sounds like a nuissance when it starts bending and getting on my way on the table. There is one picture with a keeb with Laser keycaps and it looks like a hassle to get the cable sitting right
First cable I got was defective and only registered a small % of my key clicks and would turn off with any slight movement of my keyboard. DROP sent me a new one and my DROP CTRL keyboard won't even turn on this time lol. Beautiful cable... unfortunate that it's horribly defective.
Couldn't agree more. I'm about to ship the second cable they sent me back for a refund, but this time they didn't ship the cable in a box I can use to ship back...so now I'm going to have to pay to ship an inoperable cable...so even after being refunded for the cable I'm still going negative to ship this damn broken cable back. Such a joke, especially considering I've bought so many great products from them.
BeardedDMDI’ve had varying success with my computers and this cable; my new computer and keyboard (mass drop k-type, basically the original ctrl) run this cable fine but my laptop and my old computer don’t (the old computer won’t even power the keyboard). I suspect it may have something to do with the USB buses on the motherboard, as my new motherboard is a high-end one with more USB ports than anyone could ever need for home. Unfortunately I haven’t found any fix for this; maybe try a powered USB hub if you still have your cable and a hub lying around.
Anyone else experiencing issues with the cable not connecting properly to the keyboard? I feel like it only works properly when I rest the cord in specific positions on my desk, otherwise my keyboard completely shuts off.
