I bought one of these a few years ago (outside of drop.com) just to get the adapters, don't even have IEMs with MMCX connectors. The adapters themselves are fantastic, use them all the time. Between 2.5mm (original cable), 3.5mm single-ended, 4.4mm and 3.5mm balanced you can connect to pretty much anything, especially if you throw in the drop 2.5mm to XLR adapter. So glad they also included 3.5mm balanced too with I can use with my Plenue S.
Anyway, I paid $100 USD and have got great use out of them, wish I could have got them for $50!
I just asked myself like who on gods green flat earth would buy this cable for 100 bucks?? I literally just bought a pure monocrystalline silver balanced cable from Fiio for 115 shipped/out the door. Mee audio is a great budget company if you just started out in the Iem space, but the fact that KZ/FiiO exists, mee should take a walk. Mee is old news/ meh products.
kz/fiio is light years ahead in 2020.
Yeah like I said I didn't buy it for the cable (which actually I've never used) but for the 3 adaptors. This was a few years ago and available options at the time were pretty bleak, with companies looking for 50+ USD for just one adaptor! At least in the last few years companies like Fiio and Ibasso have been developing their own cables and adaptors and bringing some sane pricing to the market. I can't speak to the quality of the cable, but the adaptors are solid and I've used them all regularly for years now.
That’s amazing! Yeah I have to remind myself that a lot of these have been released years ago it’s just like shocking that they would keep the “100 usd” retail price, in 2020 this is like a 20 dollar cable without the adapters.
And I didn’t notice that it came with adapters OK that makes more sense even at this price point.
