$42 can be better spent on two CCA CA4 and a few spare cables

Damn, I paid recommended retail for these! $100 is a fair price - competitive sound quality in that price category, so $42 is a bargain. Good for commuting - decent isolation, enough bass to mask public transport noise and comfortable for hours. Stock cable is pretty ordinary, although the mic is ok.

Those IEMs are incredible value at their drop price. I myself owned PX for about a year and love them. Got P2 for my son 2 months ago, and he loves his pair, but I got in a bit of a of a trouble for not getting pair for my daughter as well since she liked their fit/isolation much more than Westone UM1 I got for her. Now I can get another pair for her, and a pair for myself as well. Sidenote - everybody in family preferred fit of Pinnacles, and after running short sound quality test of UM1 vs P2... P2 wins on every front... UM1 is thinner, more artificial, harsher treble, unnatural/flat soundstage, bass-shy and does not isolate well... they are kinda... like ER4S in many ways and I am not saying that as a compliment... and this comes from a guy that likes his gear to be very much neutral. Quick listening observation from one evening I had those P2 IEMs: they fit as well as PX or better (given that they are more lightweight), they are definitely more focused on low end, but in a sensible way. Straight out of Opus #3 DAP, P2 sounds (arguably) better for a lot of music (giving more balanced, warm sound with good fill for low end), with PX maybe having an edge on classical. That changes when switching to not-portable-at-all hi-end amp (Auralic Taurus MkII in my case, total overkill, I know) - both P2 and PX scale very well in that setup, but PX goes further and wins in detail/precision department (creating stiff competition for HE560 over-the-ears) with its bass being just enough, and being very tight and precise, and P2 starts to sound maybe a tiny bit too bassy and stompy in that setup, with soundstage/imaging surprisingly similar in both cases. Oh, all those comparisons were done with $26 balanced no-name OCC wire from China (which was a huge upgrade for either iem), I do not care much for factory wiring on neither of those headphones, although I agree with others, P2 wiring feels especially cheap and springy. I also have a pair of SoundMagic PL50... and while I like them for podcasts... there is no comparison to Pinnacle IEMs when it comes to music, absolutely none. Those P2's are a steal at their current massdrop price no matter how you look at them... use them as they are on a lawnmower, take them on a plane (for noise isolation), or replace cable with balanced OCC wiring and plug into good DAP/amp for sublime music quality...

The isolation of the P2's are on par with the Shure's SE series, which is considered high noise isolation.(with proper seal)

In my experience - isolation is fairly good with silicone tips, and very good with foam tips, on par with ER4S that are famous for their isolation.

Budget in another $15 minimally for a replacement cable. How could anyone in product development find the OEM provided acceptable. It will spring off the back of the ear and pull on the IEM causing a loose fit. The mic placement interferes with the cinch so only Jay Leno will get a proper fit under the chin. GaaaaWd, the cable!!!

I'm able to sleep on my side pretty well with these. I think that's a very personal thing, so it might not work for you. Soft tips are essential. I hear no hiss at all. I like the sound a lot, especially for music like Beck or Bjork or Everything But The Girl or Jean-Luc Ponty. Good balance and spaciousness. For classical and some jazz, I prefer my edc3's (ever so slightly more comfortable on my side, too) - but they're a tad harsh for the light rock I just mentioned. Also more expensive. I also have the mee M6 ($14 from a blue box special) - sound is lacking ("podcast quality"), but it's the most comfortable pair on my side. For the price, you might just start there and upgrade until you get the quality you're looking for (ultimately what I did). I found that process fun. I hope you can enjoy it, too. Good luck

The Mee M6Pro are the same size and basically the same shape as the M6, but sound much better. If you find the M6 comfortable, you might find the M6Pro just what you want.

Strikingly good for the money. I've spent thousands on IEMs (I have quite a few) and these are impressive for the Massdrop price. Not too long ago I spent more for the hybrid Fiio FH1; the P2 are much better (clarity, sound stage, more balanced tuning) for less. If not for the rubbery, disappointing cable these would be a home run.
