I bought these on an amazon lighting deal. Returned them after a day. I wanted to like these, and for the mostpart I did. They seem well suited for urban life. However I learned that not all android devices come with aptX compatibility. In my case the OnePlus One. So it defaults to a more basic Bluetooth standard. Make sure you have a AptX friendly android device before you buy these. There is no aftermarket way to add it.

There is an aftermarket way to add aptx bluetooth, but it's not convenient. There are devices like the Jaybird uSport (which seems to be discontinued) and the Avantree Saturn Wireless Bluetooth Audio Receiver and Transmitter (http://www.amazon.com/Avantree-Wireless-Bluetooth-Receiver-Transmitter/dp/B0085HOM4K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1419804935&sr=8-2&keywords=jaybird+usport)
I have the uSport, and it works fine, but it's not convenient. There is one more device you will have to remember to carry with you to use it. But as FirstPenguin mentions, there is no internal way of adding it.
