My first ever drop, I pulled a Crystal AND a M220 😁 I can definitely see how this stuff gets addicting. Have yet to try the crystals (will probably pass it along as a gift) but I am LOVING the M220 so far, though I will admit I'm not audiophile enough to describe how it sounds in technical terms.
So yeah, sometimes you get lucky 👍

Droid2drummerIt will be at the end when the Drop closes. Give it a couple more days after that for the MD folks to do the drawing, then check your Transcations page for what they will be shipping to you. You will likely receive an email as well of the results.

tadr92Got a question for you…how many did you order on the last drop? I’m getting the impression that you received the base model AND then was sent the prize one as a second one?
I’m confused because the Description says 50% for the base model. But if I understand you correctly, everyone got the base model, and any prizes were sent as a second set of headphones. Maybe MD Staff can clarify for me. Thanks!

glennacWith each IEM model displayed the percentage is the chance of that being the one sent to you. All the names are put into a big hat (I like the idea of it being a hat) and the ones who've won the extra massdrop prizes shall receive them as well, or instead. I've not won the big prize myself. The odds are the same for every single order, say you buy two. That's two tickets to the lottery, the percentages will not change. I don't know the process they go by for it but hey maybe it's a giant raffle like twitch streamers do. The order #s are assigned their prize so it's fully "random". I think they ship out the smaller % prizes first, sense there's clearly less of them. Just several variables for shipping times. Maybe the big prizes look like, on their list Big prize 1 Big prize 2 Big prize 3 etc Assigned to the order #s. Hope this has helped in any sorta way to help explain it. A lot of the stuff about the decision process on who gets what is speculation so take it at face value, it makes the most sense to me honestly.

tadr92Well. I see it just says 1 Mee IEMs ..so I guess I got the simple what I figured I'd get. Lol. Again I'm ok with that. My first drop. I'm using the Klipshe Neckband R6 bluetooth. They are not as good as I though but have gotten better in time. Last week or 2 I bought s9 plus and it came with some actual decent inclusion headphones "tuned by" AKG. You know the story. Well. I found the larger tips made world of difference. So I have something extra for no worries of losing. Lol I am waiting and contemplating some M50x from Audio technica ...I found for 129 new with accesories. Might see if a drop happens ..or just buy anyway. Lol. Thanks guys. Nice chat. Cool site. glennacSorry for the late response, but I actually ordered only one. As in, one $8.99 Blue Box.
As I understand it, all orders have a chance of receiving a prize in addition to the order, not instead of; meaning that you will definitely get a set of MEE IEMs (exact model according to the probability listed) and *possibly* a prize if your specific order number (i.e. lottery ticket) is pulled out of the proverbial hat Esclah referred to.
The description does not explain it so explicitly, but uses a sort of 'stretch-goals' timeline, e.g 500 Blue Boxes ordered then a AKG M220 will be unlocked. From there, it's quite easy to figure out the system in play - more orders mean more prizes unlocked, but because the actual number of players have increased the probability of *anyone* receiving a prize is still the same. That's what keeps the system fair for everyone because it doesn't discriminate between those who join the drop early and those who squeak in at the last minute; we're all getting prizes out of the same pool.
All that said, obviously the more orders you put in the greater the chances of you pulling a prize. Hence, my initial comment being equal parts incredulity at my fantastic luck and an attempt to be encouraging because of it...also humble-bragging, but that's neither here nor there :P

EsclahAny clarification on what " SOUNDS SO MUCH BETTER" means in terms of changes in frequency response?
That looks like it's just going to add ear cup resonance... I'm curious what changed.

HeeftyWell the sub-bass sounds more defined to me, the highs are less Pearceing they relax. feels like there’s a bit wider sound stage. Leaving the Back damping material I believe should take care of the resonance I’ve had them well over two years so they’re plenty broken in did the mod last year round this time of year the midrange sound less covered Up to me. i lost the little white damping rings they encricle the driver wire so make sure you keep it safe if you want to go back

glennacReading over his comment again Esclah pretty much described what I did, though maybe in not so many words. In short, I got EXTREMELY lucky - 'Katniss's one and only sibling's name getting pulled out of hundreds of other nameless individuals' type lucky - to win a prize. There's no doubt whatsoever that I bought a MEE IEM; I just also happened to win one of the 8 sets of M220s in the process.
Unless your confusion is over it being sent separately?

Your experience seems to indicate that 100% of participants get the base model. Winners get an additional device.
Yet, the Description says you have a 50% chance of getting the base model. Meaning, 50% of the group WON’T be getting the base model but one of the other prizes.
So which is it? 🤷🏻‍♂️

glennacAh, I see! You're misunderstanding the description entirely! The percentages listed are relative to each other in what you will receive:
MEE Audio RX18P - 50% MEE Audio Crystal - 23% MEE Audio M6 2018 - 25% MEE Audio M6 Pro - 2%
Add them up and they obviously come to a 100%, which is to say that in order of probability you will DEFINITELY receive one of the four, only that you're more likely to get RX18P > M6 2018 > Crystal > M6 Pro.
Clear enough?

Should I exchange the PC38X for better headphones?

I bought the PC38X headphones FOR GAMING and they are great, but I have NO use for a Microphone since I don't do competitive gaming and I was wondering if there were better headphone options at a similar price without a headphone, where (presumably) more of the cost was put into making it sound better. I also find that my PC38X don't get quite as loud as I would like and I was wondering if a cheap amp like the iFi Go link would draw a little more volume out of my phones. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BN6MM822?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details I went with the PC38X since it was considered the best bang for buck headphones. Looking for a gaming/content audio setup

Hello! I'm looking for recommendations on audio setups. I'd be planning on using it mostly for gaming. Preferably I'd like a pair of large closed back headphones since I have a big head and jaw. I'd also like to hear myself through my mic with mic monitoring. As far as budget goes, I don't really have one. But under 600$ would be nice. I can go higher if needed. The audio setup would be connected to a high performance PC. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

Trying to buy some gear off Drop for the first time. I was told I would receive an email with a welcome to drop $10 off promo. I never received that email. Drop was able to send me emails for my login token and email for Password update. But for some reason the $10 off coupon was never sent to me.

Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.
