Got the M9 from my box. After opening them I realized I owned these, or a pair very similar to these, several years ago. That being said, the sound is probably around par for the course at the $10 MSRP. They are very V-shaped, with the bass emphasized over the highs and quite recessed mids. Bass extension is actually quite good, and I can feel the subs quite well. Highs are edging harsh at times. Separation of instruments is weak and the IEMs are overall pretty muddy, but for $8 I supposed I can't really complain that much. I guess I got a backup pair.
