If we buy two, is there a chance that we receive two of the same pair?
Jun 30, 2015
Yes. According to the statistics in the description, you would have a 1% chance to win two M6 Pros, a 12.25% chance to win two A151Ps and a 30.25 % chance to win two M-Duos. This gives a total of 43.5% for duplicate and 56.5% chance of receiving two different pairs.
We can work out the probabilities of other combinations too. You would have a 7% chance of receiving an M6 and A151P, and a 11% chance to get an M6 and an M-Duo. There is also a 38.5% chance to get an M-Duo and an A151P.
Total probability of receiving at least one M6: 19% Total probability of receiving at least one A151P: 57.75% Total probability of receiving at least one M-Duo: 79.75%
Note: I have ignored the possibility of the Pinnacle P1 and the AKG here because they are statistically insignificant compared to the other possibilities. As of the time when this comment was made, the probability of receiving a Pinnacle (or the AKG) is less 0.2% (with more than 500 participants in the drop), and the probability is dropping with each person that enters the drop.
