Yes, you can program the macropad using VIA to trigger a keyboard shortcut as the knob spins. I'm using the 38% macropad to edit in Final Cut Pro X. I use the big knob for frame by frame scrubbing, one small knob to zoom in and out of the timeline, and the other small knob to skip between clips in the timeline.
Recently got this macropad, but it's not detected in VIA. Is a json file needed to be side-loaded? Couldn't find one on the internet.
Any firmware updates for this macropad?
Ive tried sideloading the .json file in via and vial and am having no luck. There is no information. Hopefully posting this as an answer will get it seen by someone!!!!
I have questions, and am new to macro pads.
How hard is the programing for someone whose only coding know how is HTML.
Can programming be app specific?
Can the light be off and or how bright is it?
Via makes changing the functions very user friendly. See the 1st comment which was answered you can even set this up as a scrubbing wheel if you have editing software installed on your pc. If not Via will still allow you to change all the rgb & buttons to any typical keyboard/mouse/ or media playback function.
Are the wheels rotary encoders with detents? I have the triple knob macro pad and dislike the detents on the knobs, would greatly prefer either being able to turn them off (one can dream, right?) or just not having them.
Has anyone gotten this device to work properly with VIA? I just received mine and I have no way of re-programming any of the keys or how the knobs work.
