Has anyone successfully used programmed this pad? keebmonkey took down their page for it, and VIA doesn't recognize.

The keymap is available here under "Sword Keyboard" to make VIA work: https://wiki.keebmonkey.com/en/guides/doiofirmware Import it under design. Anything to do with changing the backlight doesn't seem to work for me, but I can reassign buttons. For newer versions of VIA you need to edit the file and change "0xFEED" to just "FEED" and "0x6060" to "6060"

Can you use relegendable keycaps with this macro pad (e.g., the ones that fit the Genovation command pads)?

If they are mx style keycaps then yes of course. Edit: I just checked and the Genovation ControlPad CP24 uses MX switches.
So yes that will work with this macropad.

I have stopped buying all keyboards from drop since they don't have a (working) management program like Hercules. QMK and VIA do not work unless you're a programmer, if you're a normal person they just don't do anything or brick your keebs.
while you didnt ask a question per se, everything (pretty sure at least....) sold here does have support from qmk or via or both, it is just very, very difficult to find that support for some things, and then some still just dont seem to want to play nicely. some of mine only want to work with the browser config, some only with one of the apps, some with only an older version of the app, some with any of the apps or browser. seems to have little rhyme or reason to it all. i have several of the megalodon macropads and a couple of them gave me absolute hell trying to get them recognized and setup. hours of searching random forums for json files to test and info on how to fix different issues before finding the solution. it is incredibly frustrating and irritating. once things actually connect in the programs they arent too terrible to use, but there is definitely a learning curve which is annoying when you have to search and test 25 json files before even getting to the mapping. maybe someday more effort will be put into consolidating a lot of these things and making it all easier for those newer to these sorts of things. and better GUIs.
