I am glad they at least informed us after such a long time of waiting that expected shipping is 10/7, I was about to cancel today because of the lack of updating on this delayed shipment. Also, what I am not very glad about is that they decided to make it an email instead of a discussion post like they do with the holy pandas or some of their other drops. I don't know if it's because this run ended so long ago, but I feel that most of the people that purchase their items of here are coming to the discussions tab or looking at transactions to see for updates. This just seems like they really want to get a bunch of people complaining about how things are being run. And don't get me wrong, covid times lead to weird situations they have to go through, BUT AT LEAST UPDATE US with something.
This is a Melgeek problem, meaning the actual vendor. I bought a keycap set that is also run by Melgeek (here on Drop) and we have the same problem with delays and zero communication. Melgeek is just not communicating and in my estimate Drop can't do anything if the vendor isn't progressing with their project. The "Holy Pandas" and other Drops are actually produced by Drop - but this is not the case for all products that you see on Drop, so there is a big difference. Yeah, maybe Drop should be communicating these things in a more impactful manner, but to be frank, most people don't even properly read through the basic stuff. But regardless, I'm all for better communication.
Well, looks like we were lied to.... again....
