About the QMK
We know we promised the ember keyboard carry with qmk firmware, but in the development process, we can not solve the problem of Bluetooth 5.0 with qmk firmware work well, so we were forced to choose only one of them, then finally we use Bluetooth 5.0 with our Kbtools firmware, but we continue to work hard to make it possible.
I can’t review because this was gifted to me, but when mine arrived all but one of the plastic holding the screw supports were broken into pieces and loose in the case rattling. The Bluetooth also has spotty connectivity, very delayed and selective with which keys work. Though when plugged in it seems fine for now. Very disappointed that it came broken but the keycaps looks great.
Does their remapping software support pressing a key mapped to one function and holding the same key mapped to another function? E.g pressing caps = caps, holding caps = change layer
Hello, i'm actually very interested in this however i recall DROP saying they didn't want to do future business with Melgeek after the MDA "Plastic" Keycap set.
Did something change?

Andy_WhoThese are just extras left over from previous runs, they're not commissioning any new products.
You're welcome to them for $140 shipped. I payed over $190 and then 40 bucks shipping from China. So $140 shipped sounds more than fair to me.
(I do realize Kono has had their second batch of these keycaps for pre-order for the past 6 months or so, but with Melgeeks reliability there is no telling when you'd receive those keycaps or if the quality control on them will be anywhere near decent. Refer to the Melgeek PLASTIC keycap group buy and the mojo60 keyboard as they took a year and a half to 2 years to arrive and then I read some horror stories of everyone getting warped keycaps on that drop PLASTIC keycap GB. )
Plus with all these shipping container ships off the coast of southern California piling up an just sitting there for weeks, and some even months. No telling how long some items will take to arrive from China.
I thought Drop is not going to do business with Melgeek anymore?
Edit: Apparently Drop is selling the existing stock, not really a whole new round of production.
AzraelianA bunch extreme delays, sprinkled with lies, is the jist. I think it ended up being a year over due on the original ship date (like a year and a half or so from the order date) before we got them with limited, to zero, communication during that time from drop or melgeek. It was handled extremely poorly all around.
All qualms aside I really like the keycaps and their profile, but the board itself was mostly meh. Even ended up buying another melgeek keycap set recently, mg monster.
