I love this keyboard- great sound and mechanics, options for wireless, etc but my favorite part by far is the design. It is so unique and I have gotten so many complements.
Great feel and sound, but wireless connection leads to keystrokes not being registered
an opI like it a lot, but using the 2.4GHz wireless transmitter results in some key pressed not being registered when typing fast. This is clearly noticeable and annoying when I'm using it for work, but a lot worse when gaming and shortcuts don't go through. Therefore, using this wirelessly is basically no longer an option. This is especially sad since this is my first wireless keyboard and this was the part of the upgrade that I was really looking forward to. I'll try contacting them and seeing if this is only an issue for me and whether or not it's the keyboard or the wireless receiver dongle.
This product is amazing, it got linear switches and the best I've ever heard with pre lubed and everything straight out of the box. It got bluetooth and everything as well. Down side is the dongle doesn't connect anymore so I either have to use it hard wired or bluetooth
I like that it’s made with the idea of transparency. The design alone made me want to purchase and the only regret is the switches I chose. The Gateron whites are just too light for me. I have swapped them out with reds for the moment until I get some premium switches. More than likely I will put Aqua Kings as they have a good feel for me. The board has a good weight, very functional and Fun to look at!
This is the first plastic keyboard that I have purchased because I was under the impression that keyboard with aluminum casing were more premium and sounded better. This keyboard has completely proved me wrong! I love the sound of the Gateron Brown Pro switches. The outer casing is truly unique and definitely stands out from all my other keyboards. Another great feature is the Bluetooth and 2.4G wireless options. I think the only customization that I will add to this keyboard is swapping out the keycaps with shine-through keycaps.
I’ve been using the Mojo68 along with their Mojopad (numpad) wirelessly using the 2.4Ghz dongle at work for about 2 months now and I’ve been super happy with them. Just make sure you apply the latest firmware updates!
One of the best things I noticed is instant wireless reaction keypress time when the keyboard starts up from sleep. (I set my keyboard to 2 minutes sleep to save on battery power).
As many of you may know, not every wireless keyboard is like this and takes an extra press just to turn the keyboard on from sleep. With the Mojo68 and Mojopad your computer actually will register the first keypress from sleep which honestly is really great for work as I’m always going back and forth from my desk.
Regarding the sound, I was pleasantly surprised how the Gateron browns sounded on the board but I didn’t really like the feel of the browns so I switched them for Boba U4T’s which improved the keyboard feel dramatically.
It’s also not super necessary with this board but I also applied the tape mod (use a credit card corner to pop open the clips underside the keyboard to open it) because I am personally into the sound it brings.
The stock stabs are also really good and are pre-lubed. It’s not super necessary to but I pulled them out and fine-tuned them anyways though for that little extra improvement.
The Keycaps are also really cool. I have received a ton of compliments on them so far at work and I like their feel as well.
Since I like to switch keycaps a lot I also tried GMK keycaps on the board which also felt very good.
Overall I would give the Mojo68 the following score:
Looks: 9/10
Feel: 8.7 / 10
Functionality: 9/10
The keycap set I received is entirely different than what is pictured. The keycaps I got are not as cool as the images, and I would not have bought the keyboard had I know Drop was lying to us about what they are selling.
