No Home Key Indicators?!
The keycaps FINALLY arrived after extravagant delays. I actually thought that the packaging was pretty high-end. I got the full keycap set (dawn) with the lamp kit. The very high key profile is unique and somewhat retro, and I cannot yet say if it is good or bad. I'll need to use it for a little while. Otherwise, they feel very high-end and provide a keycap set that, in addition to being one of the better looking keycaps on the market, are rare and relatively difficult to get. Overall, I am pleased with them.
The only major complaint that I have about them is the fact that the F and J keys do not have special bumps or ridges on them that allow you to find the home key position. I've typed jibberish multiple times already as a result. I'd like to find some way to alter them slightly to add a tactile indication for my index fingers.
I have one minor complain about the 4 "bee" artisan keycaps: You have one bee looking up, one bee googly-eyed, and 2 bees that have centered eyes. It seems to me that it would have made much more sense to have one bee with eyes looking down instead of 2 identical bees with centered eyes. This would allow me to use eyes up for volume up, eyes down for volume down, and googly-eyed or center-eyed for mute. Just a thought...
