Mercer Voyager Watch

The Voyager is Mercer Watch Co.’s take on the dive watch. It features a nautical theme that begins with its wavy, textured dial and extends to its custom-stamped caseback, which depicts a ship at sea. It’s equipped with Miyota’s caliber 9015 automatic movement, which can be hand wound and offers hacking seconds. For diving purposes, it’s fitted with a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and screw-down crown, giving it a 300-meter water resistance rating.

Outlined with silver, the diamond-shaped hour markers are lumed, as are the baton-style minute hand and arrow-shaped hour hand. Like many divers, the Voyager features a red-tipped seconds hand. For timing purposes, the watch is equipped with a 120-click unidirectional rotating bezel, with 10 hash marks between 12 and 2 o’clock. Thereafter, Arabic numerals adorn the bezel in intervals of 10. A small date window is positioned at 3 o’clock.

Born 2 years ago of a kickstarter, Mercer Watch Co. is named for Hugh Mercer, a fallen soldier in the American Revolution. His name not only served as a rallying cry during the war but also became the namesake of Mercer County, New Jersey, where the company is now headquartered.
