I was on the KS. I received the white and red bezel on bracelet but returned it because I personally moved on with the style of watches I currently own. The watch is great for this price point. As an avid microbrand purchaser, I can say the quality is up there for this price. Oh and this thing is blingy! Shiny chrome all around!

kpjimmyhow does the quality compare to say a seiko or citizen in the same price range? Are we getting better fit/finish for the asking price or is it just unique and different?

lobsterHmm...overall quality? It's pretty on par with other micro brands based on this price (not retail). Does it compare to a Seiko or Citizen? IMO no. When comparing those, is a bit different in a sense that those are pretty mass produced pieces where this is a one man operation overseeing a bunch of stuff from prototypes to shipping so a lot is done by few people. What you get in a microbrand is more than a watch really, you get a limited run watch where I can pretty much guarantee no one in town could have one unless they are all buying these drops. lol. The fit and finish? Well these are more on the dress watch side of the diver. I say this because everything is polished on this if you get a bracelet. So micro scratches will ensue. Slap a Nato or rubber strap and you can lessen them, but the case will have scratches that will add character to it lol.
For me when talking about Seikos and Citizens, I consider them more of a beater line because I am used to the divers they sell. I have a few Seikos, and I had one Citizen that died after 6 years of use. I'd summarize that the Citizens line are closer to the Mercers in that dressy respect.

kpjimmyGood to know. If this had a matte finish I might've jumped on it, but chrome is a dealbreaker for me. No flashy watches por favor.

watchkookWell it really depends on a few things. Like how much you want to spend vs what type of watch you want. Personally, I go for something that "speaks to me".
There are tons of micros out there now. Anywhere from this company, Mercer's new line, Melbourne Watch Company for the dressier side of things, to the Borealis and Halios divers world. For a bit off the beaten path, you have funky designs from Aevig and Janis Trading (Formally known as Lew and Huey). Not to mention Visitor watches. So yea...a bunch out there :)
