How can a bottle opener made of brass (softer material than steel) with a price of almost $60 ever be a deal?

fascThere's a burgeoning market for every-day-carry bottle openers, knuckle-dusters and prybars. These pieces from Minh Do are pretty well-priced by comparison, the average for similar pieces from other makers would be almost double and in some cases triple. And that's buying direct, to say nothing of the secondary market for more prized pieces.
How is it a deal? Well first: you're purchasing a hand-made piece. Minh has a great reputation among collectors and EDC enthusiasts, especially for his prybars. He's a great guy and is active in the Facebook and Instagram groups that favor this type of gear. So owning one of his pieces, something he has worked with hands-on, has a lot of immediate appeal to a lot of folks.
Secondly, these pieces have personality in their design. There are a lot of other bottle-openers/knucks on the market, most with a more utilitarian look and feel. These pieces have real character. They're just fun, for lack of a better way of saying it.
Third, in regard to brass: As a material, EDC and gear-heads favor brass because of its ability to earn a patina and show wear over time. It's also easier to customize and can be corroded, force-patina'd or die-stamped for a truly unique coloration and look, especially if you don't want to wait on natural wear or are going for a specific effect.
As an opener or as a single brass-knuckle, it doesn't need to be any more durable than it is to do its job just fine. Brass will serve just as well as steel and last for pretty much ever.
Hope that helps shed some light on things. This type of gear may not be for everyone, but trust me when I tell you that there are a lot of people who go wild for this type of thing and that what's on offer here from Minh is a fantastic deal. Or don't trust me, and google "Vox Snailor" or "Burnley Cypop" to see some of the higher-end pricing and more exotic variations of this type of gear.

fascI see it at $35, so that's $25 less than your 'almost $60'... that makes it 'almost' half off! How is that not a deal?

BrewjistuRead my post again, and look at the description "Note: At checkout, choose the Stainless Steel Bear or Brass Cobra (+ $25)." But even $35 for the steel bear is a lot for a one-trick pony...but there has to be a market for this...as GentlemanSin has pointed out...
