Hey guys,
Just spoke to vendor regarding some of the sub-par artisans some of you received.
Here is the full scope from vendor: "It was pretty difficult to QC and manage 1000+ orders this time around, however - this is not an excuse, we will be replacing all unsatisfied orders. We did not want to disappoint you all and will make this right."
Please reach out to our community support team through your transaction page if you have not done so. I've already gave them a heads up regarding this drop and they are aware. From there, our CS team will consolidate the entire replacement order and have our vendor work on/ship out the replacements accordingly. Apologies for the inconvenience, thank you all for supporting this drop.
For this of you that are wondering when this drop will be coming back, we're in the discussion with the vendor - furthermore - reassuring QC so this does not happen again.

You are definitely not blind. No cherry so far for us, was informed by BKD that the quality is meh compared to the SA/OEM.

shadowkreepFar from expensive when in the artisan world. I think the average I am paying per key is 50 bucks then 5 to 7 more bucks on basic shipping. Yes it is steep price for a single key but it is a custom work of art, that is not being mass produced by some machine with silly errors passed along to the end user. No, these are not expensive, they are quite the steal for the piece of work you will acquire.
For an idea of pricey keys... Check out this bad boy. The gold version had a $110 price tag. I got the silver for 90. But again even at that price.... There is going to be a wait time, until end of may, and even after 100 dollar purchase and 6 month wait time from date of purchase.... IT IS WORTH IT!!!

For the 'really cool' and good looking artisans, this is about average. $25 is probably the minimum you'll find, and most are easily closer to $50 a piece.

BrainFlushWorks for me. You know I am impatient and pick up a little on almost everything I see. The enter key for the going to the moon series... yeah that's a must. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

This is my first drop and I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. The keycap is so transparent and the wood chips are so sparse to the point where the stem becomes the main focus. Plus the edges are so sharp! It honestly looks nothing like the pictures. I'm glad other people's turned out better. Is there any recourse for those not so lucky?

hans1At First I am sorry,I need to put the resin and wood together the first step,and this is random,I know this is not the excuse and I have to check them carefully,so I will sent the replacement to you,I am waiting Massdrop's CS department to provide all the list to me,because there were no everyone received the keycaps,please be patiently.
At last,thank you for supporting BKD,this is really a important experience to me,I will avoid those issues in the future.
Meanwhile I know how important the follower whom wait such a long time to get a love Artisan keycap,so I won't let you down.

It looks like I got a dud key as well. Some of the ones posted look nice. I as surprised by how angular it was but I was way more surprised at how dissimilar the advertisements are to the product. I would not have ordered this had I known I would receive this product.
