evangsLooking at the pcb, pcb mounted is supported. Looking closer, i just recognized the "arrow down position" lacks this. No i'm torn, i wanted to go without plate, pcb mounted only. Did this happen by accident, there's enough space for that feature?
Makamipcb mount was on the switch footprint I used on rev 1 of the pcb. I've never had pcb mount stabs so there has always been a need for a plate. In this pcb update some of the pcb mount pin holes are gone. Honestly I've never had to intention to use without a plate, but that could definitely be looked at as a feature in the next revision. For me, round 2 was about supporting alps switches which require a plate.
evangsSeveral reasons, i prefer the feeling of pcb mounted mks, still love the typing feeling a lot of my old cherry ones like the 1800.
Easy switchmodding, i'm able to (de)solder, but i like to fool around every other day "instantly".
Diy kits with plates, where easy switchtop removal isn't given, is somehow hard to understand for ME. The KC60 did a lot right on this behalf for "small" money.
If the Uniquey would be given as tkl or 60%, i would have bought one by now, it's a nice mixture of old and new for me.
The MiniVan was meant as a pure gaming mk and fun board for me, but it has to be "perfect" for my needs to spend the money.
evangsNow i'm a little bit lost :)
Are you talking about the Van now, i've been looking at your video again and it seems to me there's no room to do that.
