Shitty Quality! The micro died after one month and the volume control does not work the same on both speakers.

MattheweHey Matthewe, what's up. Can you keep us up to date regarding your case with both MD and Mionix. I'm interested to know how they deal about honoring the Warranty and how long the process took. It'd be a big big help for future groups that are wondering about the Warranty for this particular product.
I placed my order like, two nights ago. The price on this headset was good enough to take a gamble on. It's just one of those paydays where you got extra cash to burn lol. It wouldn't disappoint me much anyway if what I would receive is indeed a "fragile" product - hoping I won't though. But I'm more on headphones anyway. I still use my SHP9500 with my V-Moda Boompro mic and I still have some headphones coming in. The good reviews regarding the audio quality and comfort - and price compared to other gaming headsets were just too intriguing not to take a gander.
Cheers!

LakerPrideSince85It would be my pleasure. When handling it and for the first few months, it feels anything but fragile, very solid and none of the cheap headphone issues like creaking or movement where pieces come together. Of course I am disappointed in how it doesnt work anymore, but the peeling issues aside, I would be amazingly happy with having them working again. While they were working the quality was good enough for me to use as my daily driver for working from my computer and using them all the time. Having used a number of headsets from companies like logitech or plantronics, this was many steps above as far as feel and build quality as well as in and outgoing audio quality. Other gaming type headsets colored the sound too much or the mic quality just was not up to par for professional daily use. Longevity seems to be the issue, and to me since this was their first headset offering, kinda makes a little sense. If they replace my headset with an exact model but working copy, I will be extremely happy and they will have solidified a customer for life.

MattheweYes, i did buy from massdrop. To avoid customs charges and save nerves i solved it by myself. I opend the headset and bypassed the mic switch and the volumecontrol. Thank you for your help! sikcd

sikcd1If they do not replace mine, I will do the same thing, upping the ante a bit and swapping out the entire cable, as I believe they used too thin a gauge of wire which lead to these issues.

LakerPrideSince85So I have an update for you, I am outside of the one year warranty by MassDrop, so Mionix told me they would take care of me directly and all I need to do is send this headset back and get a new one sent back to me. Pretty good stuff. Didnt expect anything to come of it but they are doing the stand up thing and replacing it regardless of warranty. Mionix solidified a customer forever here....
