I have this mouse pad and I love it. I actually just use it to get some padding on my desk space, I use a Steelseries 9HD on top of this.

kmo_4i was looking for feed back on this, my ripper xxl is frayed on all sides(since i flipped it...) and its glide capabilities are somewhat compromised over the 3 years of use. i was looking for a new full' sized mouse mat to replace my ripper i was looking toward the goliathus bc its got stitched and woven edges but its 35$.......long story short i bought a 9hd on steelseries black friday sale at their site for 22$ and placed it atop my ripper xxl. It is/seems more stable and forgiving(due to constantly picking up and placing the mouse) over putting the 9hd directly on a hard surface. I passed up on the sargas because the xxl/goliathus/corsair variant all perfectly fit on the bottom corner of my desk to prevent my wrists from getting fatigue rubbing on the glass surface. This sargas would have been "shapped" not as flush. Which sucks imo bc its why im sure most of the buyers of these uber large pads get them is to serve as a desktop mat for a soft gaming surface over glass or any other ruff contact point with the wrists/arms. I just thought it was funny that we both put 9hd on top of 36" mouse pads. The glide from the 9hd is the slickest surface ive ever experienced.
