UPDATE: I'm back on the project. Just got my setup more or less together, though I seem to have misplaced a few items in the shuffle. Here's a peek at what I'm working on!
I don't know if massdrop handles the orders or if you do, but i was sent a non RGB keyboard with different fonts and things printed on the keycaps (and they were grey not black like the photos) and the center cable wasnt the curly wire which is what i was actually thankful for when i ordered. And to top it all off my keyboard came with no caps, num or scroll lock lights? i dont even know if you check these messages but if someone sees it please let me know if something like this happened to you.
FYI both the online invoice and the physical invoice stated RGB so there wasn't any error in that regard....
I'm sorry to hear about your trouble. This is not the keyboard you will get from massdrop.
I am making my own keycaps for this thing and I have several other posts in this thread on the topic. I understand your confusion, and I'll find a different place for my personal "updates".
I was really disappointed about that curly cable not being included when I received mine too. They should really update that photo in the drop.
These guys will make you one:
There's larva in your keyboard
I had the older version with the curled cable, and it was too short for me to put it shoulder width apart. IKBC updated to the longer non coiled cable because users complained that the coiled was too short.
So now all new MD600s come with a longer straight cable instead of the coiled one?
Mine did. I ended up buying a shorter straight c able from Amazon, and I'm ordering a coiled one from mimic.
Mother of god. I want that spacebar. The spacebar is the only thing holding me back from putting some custom keycaps on this badboy. Did you 3D print it? It looks AMAZING.
Thank you! I cut/pasted together a model from full length SA spacebars, filled and buffed out the join lines and made a silicone mold of that, which I then resin cast into what you see here.
I'm still trying to get the process consistent enough to sell them, but work has demanded most of my time lately..
I would be interested in getting one if you figure out a way for production/distribution. I do love my Barocco, but being able to switch out caps would be really cool. I have the Industrial SA caps from pimpmykeyboard on my Poker II at home. Really unique feeling to them. This of course lead me to gaze longingly at other keycaps for my work board, the aforementioned Barocco.
