happy with it as a first split, but maybe not a keeper
this was my first foray into less standard keyboards. i got a split primarily for wrist pain, and for that i have to say it's definitely helped. i find it hard to go back to a regular keyboard. im a huge fan of how much more deskspace i get with this compared to my old 100%, and i really like the flexibility i can have with the keyboard.
that being said, there are two issues that i've experienced so far in ~3 months:
these aren't deal breakers, and overall im not sad that i got it. it does what it needs to for a reasonable price and my wrists/hands are much happier for it. but in the long run i think i'll definitely be keeping my eye out for an alternative.
- (really irritating) this keyboard is uneven. the right half rattles when i type, repeatedly hitting the desk and making audible thunking noises when i hit backspace or type particularly vigorously. in practice this is something easily fixed by sticking some postits underneath it, or placing it on a long mousepad, but i think its reasonable to be irritated that a $100+ keyboard doesn't lay flat.
- (minor issue) on startup, sometimes the left side of the keyboard wont register. i have to unplug / replug the cables maybe a couple times for the left side to connect.
Would recommend to a friend.
