These look incredible. I like the idea of using them as office speakers and taking them with me when I need to do a presentation. Do they come with anything to carry them in?
30 Watts of continuous power with a 10 Watt power source? I don't really believe the frequency response rating either. 50 Hz is pretty low. I'm sure it sounds fine, but $300 seems pricey.
The specs say "Frequency response: 50 Hz – 18 kHz"... I'd say at no point this little 3-inch speaker (with a 2.5-inch passive radiator) can achieve this low bass. Room response? Oh well, maybe at -12 dB...
As a side note, I always feel very suspicious of any manufacturer that does not include this simple data in the freq response specifications.
brainwaveHi there,
I don't usually put a whole bunch of tech data (that less than 1% of users care about let alone understand.) But am happy to supply you with whatever info you would like to see.
The fact is, I designed these speakers to sound awesome and everyone who has heard them agrees, including a number of well known journalists and magazines. HiFi Choice magazine said this month "“if you want high-quality stereo sound and good battery life then there are few that can rival the miniature powerhouse that is the uStream Go"
I'm pretty sure you'll like them and there will be no prizes for knowing what actual frequency is being achieved when you are tapping your toes to your favourite tunes!

Let's see....SBC is the best codec that the manufacturer can put in? No case of ANY kind? A single speaker system? Metal housing? No left/right speaker marking? Well at least the battery is pretty strong.
The original price was $399 but Drop has it at $299? I have a $100 bill burning a hole in my pocket!!!
Hi!
Yes this is Paul!
whilst I can appreciate your point about AAC and codecs, I can tell you, from years of experience, in this type of product the amplifier trumps the codec every time. Don’t get too hung up on codecs and don’t believe the hype. It’s the same hype that surrounds HD audio. It’s mainly smoke and mirrors and has been fed to us by giants like Sony who’s only interest is selling the world more kit! Trust me, as an sound engineer myself, you have to spend thousands of dollars on super high end kit before you can even get a smidge of noticeable improvement.
The two most important elements in music reproduction is the quality of the original recording, ie mics and efficiency of audio capture, and then the amplification and quality and efficiency of the signal path. The Bluetooth codec plays and almost inaudible role in the process trust me. You can listen to any of my speakers and if I told you the codecs were all apTX you would believe me!
You have to hear them!
For clarity the chipset is MVSILICON BP1048B2 Version 5.0 SBC Codec with TWS (capable of 24/48 @ 345kbps) Profiles supported: A2DP/AVRCP/HFP/HSP/OPP/HID/SPP/PBAP GATT/SM
depending on the environment, the speakers will go 5-6 metres apart in most cases with no trouble.
Hope this helps,
Paul
How do you tell which is left channel and which is right channel? I see no markings in any of the pics. Also, lack of a higher fidelity codec (AptX at least) is disappointing.
Not sure I'd want to lug these around, especially with no case included, so more "transportable" than "portable".
SpinyNormanOk, they are not lightweight but lightweight isn’t good for a speaker if you want it to sound good. I’d agree about transportable rather than portable, but we don’t say ‘portable’ per se, we prefer ‘go-anywhere’.
And if you are serious about music and want stereo separation anywhere, we say ‘listen like a pro, anywhere you go’.
I am a music producer and engineer and these have been widely adopted amongst musicians who all absolutely love them.
The case set is awesome and will be available within the next few weeks.
Thanks
Paul Mitchell
