The Good: Nice highs and mids, fun and enjoyable sound, looks very classy
The Bad: Could do with a little more bass for my tastes, bleeds sound, feels crass

I made the review after I bought it at $199, and ultimately, I reallly liked the sound but it wasn't too comfortable to wear for long periods. At 69, this is a total bargain, and you're getting a full 199 worth of sound quality, and hopefully, it's more comfortable for you than it was for me.

decent but not great
I bought this to use on my Mac while working - so something to block out some ambient sound but open enough to use for long periods. I've been a fan of electrostatics speakers for years (decades!) and I love the sound of Stax. But not enough to buy a pair. So this was like a low price "why not try" experiment.
I've been using the M&J for some time now. On and off, switching from the Hifiman 4xx and a bunch of IEMs, both direct from the laptop and through DAC + tube amp(s). Music source is HD flac thru Vox on my Mac as well as Spotify premium for variety.
The Good:
- Sound is well spread out. Depends a lot on the amplification. So direct from the Mac, it's very between the ears. Thru the DAC+amp, it's noticeably more spacious
- Vocals seem to be quite accurate, without making things too sweet or too harsh. On the Mac, the sibilants are occasionally a bit obvious, but not a problem through the DAC+amp.
- Not too intrusive, so I get work done :-)
- With the same music on some high-end IEMs, the music is *very* intrusive in a good way. Can't help but get distracted by my favourite tracks. I don't get this at all with the M&Js.
- Not very dynamic. In that sense, not easy to compare with dynamic drivers, but it doesn't get the attack right. So the rhythm isn't compelling (my legs won't beat in time, for example)
- As said above, I expect very good insight into the spatial space of the recording with electrostatics, e.g., in Propius recordings. Don't get it here. Again, more with the DAC+amp then straight out of the Mac.

Sounds decent, Not worth the price!!
Joke build quality!! Looks and feels flimsy. The cable went kaput in about 4 months of use.
I purchased this for about $70 and used it extensively throughout the 4 month period to really like this set of headphones, but nada.
Setup: FiiO Q1 + GL2
The good: Highs
The ok: mids, low
Headphones I own:
Audio Technica ATH M50X
Sennheiser HD598 SE
Sony WH-1000XM3
Audio Technica ATH AX1i
These sound roughly as good as my ATH AX1i, which is a sub $30 headphone.

Comfort:
None. Take two pieces of hard plastic, wrap your head between. That's it. Never seen such crap.
Build quality:
A joke. Seriously ? Hard cracking plastic everywhere. Every move you make with it is a step to its death. It's built like a plastic toy.
Sound:
Bass: horrible. Quantity, but no quality. Even Beats headphones are way better.
Medium: voices are like in a box, and they are screaming to get out, but they can't. What was the goal ? I don't get it ? To force listeners to guess for the words said in songs ?
Highs: Ok, on this point, it seems interesting. Details are good.
Soundstage: none. Sound is coming directly in your ears, and scratch your brain. And when it's bleeding it's too late.
Overall:
A pure joke. Seriously, how can the RRP be so high ? This is really indecent. People who paid $200 for may be very disappointed. I don't understand how such a shitty pair like this can be said as "premium" or "high quality audio". I think the guys behind this brand are just assholes. No more no less. Yes, ,I'm angry.

Not an audiophile so I don't know how to explain the sound. I'd say warm and full sound with enough bass to satisfy my hip hop cravings. Something unique about it that I can't put a finger on.
I have a big fat head (7 3/4 hat) and these are really comfortable. Only negative is the kinda crappy and stiff cable they come with. I bought a replacement with a mic on Amazon.
